"Meet the Family" is a portrait photo series that began with portraits of my immediate family during June 2017. This series will continue beyond my immediate family to friends and acquaintances who are willing to participate. The premise of the series is simple - the subjects are to wear plain clothes, against a plain white background, and wear the featured pair of sunglasses. The subjects pose however they choose to pose, and I shoot. I wanted all parameters of this series to be extremely simple because I wanted to eliminate any potential for setting or circumstance to affect the subjects' response to interacting with the glasses and with me. Though the environment is the same for every subject, their responses are all different and unique to them.
